DIY-Plain to pretty!

Hey guys! Sorry for pulling a vanishing act again. :$ Been busy with some free lance work so here I am back again, blogging to glory! Ting!

So this time I'm going to share an easy DIY project you can do your self at home with just a pair of scissors, some strips of gipio lace, fabric glue and of course a top to work on!

Let's get to business! Shall we?

So I will be working on a chambray sleeveless top I happened to spot at House of fashion for just 700 bucks which I thought looked very comfy... of course! It's chambray! Denim's softer cousin! The fabric is ideal for a laid back summer and is also one of the trendiest looks for summer 2014.

After I did make this purchase, I realized that it looked too plain for my taste hence, decided to get experimental and was thinking of ways to make it look more interesting. So I found some old strips of gipio lace that I had saved for little diy projects like this which did come very much in handy at this point. So yeah! Lace and denim it is!

Ok so... I was too excited to get on with this that I forgot to take a picture of what the top looked like before I applied the lace. So this is just an image I found in the internet to show you what it was like before the lace was applied. Luckily I happened to find an exact image of the top!

First you will need to glue the lace. Keep in mind that you have to cut off the unwanted pieces of thread from the lace and glue only the parts that you need to stick wherever in your top. Just don't let it get messy. This part will require a lot of patience. :$

First I applied the lace on the shoulders
The pocket
Collar
Back yoke

Ta dah! The finished look!

Hope this helped in someway if you're thinking of transforming your boring tops to something pretty! :)
